“This is Annabelle’s family,” the post began. “We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven. She struggled with this for a long time and wanted to raise awareness for it, which we will do in honor of her.”
The family’s statement continued: “Annabelle was beautiful and inspiring and lived life to the fullest. Everyone she met was inspired by her energy and the light inside her soul that shined so bright. She was, and will forever be, so so loved. We’re asking for your prayers of peace for her family and friends during this difficult time, and to allow all of us the chance to grieve and work through this as a family.”
The statement concluded with a request that folks refrain from spreading rumors about Annabelle’s passing: “Please don’t post or spread speculation or details that are unfounded. There will be a time to share more details and to go deeper into her life. Her accounts will be used to share what she went through and the joys she brought to all of us. Unnecessary comments only serve to hurt us all, this is a time for remembrance and mourning. Thank you.”

There were also rumors that her death was related to a social media post from Alabama police on July 15 about “a missing person who was last seen walking on the pier at the end of Molokai Lane, located in Fairhope.” The message went on to read that officials “located [the] deceased” and “are currently investigating,” while “no foul play” was suspected at the time.
That same day, Annabelle’s sister had posted to Facebook (per the Daily Mail): “‘My sister is missing. We have her phone. She might have fallen off pier.”
Annabelle had reportedly been at a bachelorette party in Fairhope when she was reported missing.

“Annabelle lived a vibrant life, brought smiles into every situation, and was cherished by all who knew her. Our sisterhood is completely heartbroken for the Ham family and for a beautiful life tragically cut short,” Alpha Omicron Pi shared on Facebook on Monday.
Ham’s older sister, Alexandria, described how her sudden death has left her family heartbroken.
“There will never be words for how heartbroken my family and I are. Annabelle was such a light to the world. A spark-plug. If you knew Annabelle, you loved her and loved being around her. She loved others so well too. Please keep my family in your prayers,” Alexandria shared in an Instagram post.

Ham had a bubbly personality which was often displayed in her YouTube videos.
Her page was filled with vlogs of her daily life as well as fashion and makeup advice.
In Ham’s last video, which was posted three weeks before her death, she discussed her journey with eyebrow microblading, which is a form of permanent makeup.
“Today is going to be a fun because I’m so excited to finally sit down and finally chat with you guys about something super cool,” she said in the almost 18-minute clip.
“For a long time now, I’ve wanted to get my eyebrows done… It was always just something I felt insecure about and I’m definitely the type of person that feels if you have the opportunity, the ability, the money, to go out and have work done that will make you feel more confident about yourself, I’m all for it.”
She went on to explain the procedure so her fans knew exactly what they could expect if they wanted to get something similar done.
Her other videos included vlogs of her trips to places like Colorado, California, and Florida, as well as videos of her trying on clothes for each season.
