The 2021 McCall Winter Carnival has been canceled this year due to increasing COVID-19 case counts and positivity rates.

The McCall Area Chamber of Commerce says it couldn't hold the festival due to diminished hospital capacity and tighter restrictions on public and private gatherings.

"While we will not be hosting Winter Carnival this year, we will be working to share safe ways visitors can enjoy the McCall area for the entirety of the winter season," the chamber said. "Our hope is that we can still celebrate the “Winter Wanderlust” in all of us over the many months of winter. Look for tips and ideas on ways to experience winter fun outdoors, support our local businesses, and stay safe and healthy."
